News from Your Watershed Association.  September 2006.

Tuesday, September 19.  Partnerships and Opportunities. This program will feature visitors from the Little River Watershed in East Tennessee where the local watershed association has an extensive network of partners in local government (Maryville, Alcoa, Blount County), federal agencies, UT-Knoxville and others. Their presentation will lead to our own discussion of how to plan for  the next step forward here at home. This is being held at the headquarters of the Consolidated Utility District, 709 New Salem Hwy., Murfreesboro. The meeting begins at 5:30 and includes a light dinner that is provided.  Please email srwa@stoneswatershed.org, or call 890-2081 to reserve a dinner no later than Monday evening (9/18).

Thursday, September 21. SRWA board and membership meeting, 6:30 p.m., Carriage Lane Reception House,  337 E. Burton St., Murfreesboro.

Saturday, September 23. 2nd Annual Duck River Cleanup near Centerville Tennessee.  This one is a little far from home but it is a project of our partner organization, Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association and it is a good opportunity to see how another outfit organizes an event.
