Volunteer Opportunity. Do you have a personal interest in the nitty gritty of stream protection? Do you like to get your feet
wet while investigating a stream? Do you have good people skills? Well, we have an opportunity for you. SRWA has been working
for several years to evaluate the Lytle Creek corridor with the goal of identifying opportunities to work with landowners to
improve water quality in the badly impaired stream. The next phase of work will require us to reach out to specific
landowners, to meet with them and walk over their stream frontage, and to propose specific improvements, such as expanded
stream buffers or restoration projects. Beth Chesson, an engineer and erosion control specialist, has taken the lead on the
project but this next phase needs to have more people involved. We're looking for one or two people who would like to work
closely with Beth to evaluate the information that has been gathered and to work wit h property owners. If you think you're
interested, please contact Beth at 867-8685 or beth@stoneswatershed.org for more details.
